Kemlsey Primary Academy is a single form entry school part of the Reach2 Academies Trust. They have a technician visit once a week for 4 hours – Term Time Only. Jobs are collated for when the technician arrives, and they are also logged on the Primary Technologies Helpdesk. If the school have any other times in the week, they can contact our manned helpdesk or email them through – ready for the next visit.
All staff are able to raise queries themselves – by an easy shortcut on the desktop.
This means that we can report on tasks carried out by our technicians and providing a list of completed tasks when visiting – we can even email it automatically to the person responsible at the school.
Primary Technologies works closely with Kemsley Primary to look after all their technology needs. The school has one network which hosts both their administration and curriculum resources, the school uses SIMS and a finance system called Corero – this is hosted by the Multi Academy Trust. The school has a variety of hardware and software.
Primary Technologies allocated a dedicated technician which manages the schools relationship ensuring that all their needs are met. We sit down with the business manager, headteacher and IT Co-ordinator to review the 5 year plan every six months to try and cater for items which need replacing. By doing this, we advise schools based on our experience, what items will need to be replaced and how to budget for them.
